MultiViewer

Motorsport desktop client

What do you need to use MultiViewer?

MultiViewer is available for various platforms and racing series, which can be confusing—so let's clarify what you need.

MultiViewer itself is free (its development is supported by donations), but you may need a subscription to the streaming service you want to use with it. MultiViewer is not affiliated with any of the services listed below, and we don't provide any of the content. It's a community-built, unofficial tool to help you watch motorsport content. We are not responsible for any subscription-related issues, and we don't provide support for those. If you have problems with your subscription, please contact the service provider directly.

General Requirements

MultiViewer is currently only available on desktop computers. Supported operating systems:

  • Windows 10 or later (64-bit only; ARM not supported)
  • macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later (Intel and Apple Silicon)
  • Linux (doesn't support ARM/Raspberry Pi)

Running live timing and multiple video streams may require significant CPU and GPU power. Low-powered machines may be able to run MultiViewer, but not smoothly. Even some high-end GPUs may struggle with multiple streams.

F1 TV Subscription

To use MultiViewer for F1, you need an F1 TV subscription. Which one may depend on your specific needs, and availability in your country. If you subscribe by clicking this affiliate link, you help MultiViewer's development and no additional cost to you.

F1 TV PremiumRecommended

F1 TV Premium lets you watch all F1 sessions live on up to 6 devices at a time. At the moment, F1 TV doesn't limit the amount of concurrent streams on this tier. Not available in all regions.

F1 TV Pro

F1 TV Pro lets you watch all F1 sessions live, but is limited to one concurrent stream. This tier is only available in certain regions.

  • Live and replay access to F1 TV's video streams
  • Live Timing during all sessions, including Race Trace, AI Transcriptions, and more
  • Limited to one concurrent live stream

Users report being able to watch 3 concurrent streams, but this isn't guaranteed and you may be limited to one.

  • Sign in with up to 6 devices at a time, with one of those being allowed to watch live
F1 TV Access

F1 TV Access lets you watch all F1 sessions, but doesn't give live access. Some regions have long delays before replays become available.

  • Live Timing during all sessions, including Race Trace, AI Transcriptions, and more
  • No live stream access
  • Sign in with up to 6 devices at a time

IndyCarLive Subscription

You may need an IndyCarLive subscription, depending on your country. See IndyCarLive availability. To watch races live in MultiViewer, you need the "All Access" tier.

If your country is marked "Race: Yes", it supports live race access. MultiViewer also offers free in-car cameras and live timing—no subscription needed for that.

FIAWEC.tv Subscription

To use MultiViewer for WEC, you need an FIAWEC.tv subscription. FIAWEC.tv access in the US and Canada has special limitations on the races broadcasted in those countries. You can either use a race pass or a season pass, both work but the validity for the race pass is limited to a single race. MultiViewer offers free live timing for all countries, no subscription required.
