Updating MultiViewer
MultiViewer automatically updates on platforms where this is supported. For other platforms, you can usually follow the same installation instructions again and the application will overwrite itself.
Platform | |
---|---|
Windows (installer, 64 bit) | |
Windows (portable, 64 bit) | |
macOS (Apple Silicon, arm64) | |
macOS (Intel, x64) | |
Linux (64 bit, .deb) | |
Linux (64 bit, .rpm) | |
Linux (64 bit, .zip) |
How does it work?
When the app starts, you'll see it's "Checking for update...". If an update is available, it will install automatically and restart the app.
Failed auto update
Auto-updates can fail for a number of reasons, including:
- Your platform doesn't support automatic updates. Check the compatibility table above to verify your platform's compatibility
- An error occurred during the update, this could be related to permissions, or might be something on our end. If you can't figure it out, get in touch
Usually you can fix this by downloading the latest installer and overwriting your current installation.
